Free Online Escape Rooms

28 escape rooms playable right in your browser. No download, no app, no install. Each one is disguised as a realistic fake website — a restaurant, a bank, a dating app — with clues hidden across every page. You have to actually read the site to escape.

5 are free from start to finish, and 3 of those need no account at all. The rest you can open and read for nothing; solving one costs $2.99, or unlock a whole library.

What makes these escape rooms different

Disguised as real websites

Every room looks like a real business with navigation, about pages, careers, and fine print. Puzzles are hidden inside the content — not floating on a game screen.

No highlighted clues

Nothing is marked or underlined. You browse the fake site like a real one and notice what does not add up — a wrong price, a strange initial, a number that should not be there.

Play anywhere, instantly

Runs in your browser on desktop or mobile. No account needed for the first three rooms. Jump in and escape in under 15 minutes.

Free rooms

No credit card. No paywall. Just play. The first three need no account at all.

Free Room Weekend

Every other weekend, one room from the paid library opens to everyone with a free account — the whole room, not a preview, Friday through Sunday wherever you are. It is a proper look at what the library is actually like. Rooms come round in rotation, so if there is one you want now rather than in a few months, you can unlock it any time.

Common questions

Are these escape rooms actually free?

5 rooms are free from start to finish, and 3 of those need no account at all. Every other room lets you open it and read the whole front page for nothing — solving one costs $2.99, or you can unlock a library. There is no trial, no card, and no timer on the free rooms.

Do more rooms ever become free?

Yes. Every other weekend one room from the paid library opens to everyone with a free account — the whole room, not a preview. It runs Friday through Sunday in every timezone, and it rotates, so every paid room comes around eventually. Newly released rooms are also free for their first seven days. It is meant as a real look at the paid library rather than a substitute for it — if you want a particular room now, you can unlock it for $2.99.

Do I need to download anything?

No download, no app, no install. Everything runs in your web browser on desktop or mobile.

How long does each escape room take?

Beginner rooms take 10-20 minutes. Medium rooms 20-40 minutes. Hard and Insane rooms can take 60-90 minutes or longer. Hints are available after the first 5 minutes.

Can I play with friends?

Yes — Party Mode lets you invite friends to the same room and solve it together in real time. The host controls the room and everyone sees the same view.

What makes these different from other online escape rooms?

Most browser escape rooms show a room graphic with highlighted objects. Here every room is a fully designed fake website — a restaurant, bank, dating app — and clues are hidden in the text, navigation, and fine print. No glowing hotspots.
