When you create an account, we collect your email address and any display name you provide. When you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe — we do not store your card details. We also collect anonymous usage data such as rooms visited and puzzles completed, tied to your account.
Your email is used to authenticate your account and send transactional emails such as purchase receipts. Puzzle progress and completion data power your profile, streaks, and badges. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We share your information only with the third-party services required to operate Escape The Website:
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We use browser local storage to save your puzzle progress, streak data, and preferences between sessions. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled by Supabase using industry-standard security practices. Payments are handled exclusively by Stripe and never touch our servers.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Stripe-held payment records may be subject to their own retention policies.
